Language ability

  • High school: English certificate is not required.

  • College: IELTS 6.0 (no skill below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 71 or above.

  • University: IELTS 6.5 (no skill below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 86 or above.

  • Master: IELTS 6.5 (no skill below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 90 or above.

Particularly at French language schools in Quebec, there will be corresponding French tests, as required by each school.

Students who do not meet the language requirements can enroll in extra classes and short-term courses before they start their main programs.

Proof of funds

To study abroad in Canada, you must ensure that you have sufficient financial resources during your study in Canada. You must prove that your purpose of studying abroad in Canada is to study and research.

The requirements of financial proof include:

Proof of assets: You or your family must prove that you have guaranteed assets for your study in Canada.

Proof of sufficient assets to cover tuition and living expenses when studying in Canada: A saving bank account is required. At the same time, saving bank accounts should be made 6 months before the time of visa application.

Proof of income source: Statement of income account for the last 6 months. Payroll statements, employment contracts, business licenses and tax receipts are always required.
